South African disc jockey and singer, Prince Kaybee has revealed many years it takes for a music artist to make it big from the industry.
Taking to Twitter, the DJ which seems to be speaking from experience, stated that it takes an average of 6 to 7 years of mainstream presence to make real money from the music industry
Below was what he wrote;
“It takes 6 to 7 years of mainstream presence to see real money in the South African music industry, you really need a good catalog and consistency”.
However, not everyone agreed to his fact, as some reactions where like;
You only need consistency and a good marketing team… You dont need to wait 6 six years like in the old days with social media and Streaming services in your pocket… You just need good music and proper marketing… I’ll start to go through my struggles this year✌
