Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, who was in Nanded on Friday, stated he will advise Tendulkar’s name for that Bharat Ratna on the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Chavan’s announcement arrives two days right after the Mumbai master blaster made a globe record by scoring an unbeaten 200 runs in one-day international towards South Africa. Tendulkar has by now been conferred using the Padma Vibhushan (2008) and Padamshri (1999). A federal government official, requesting anonymity, stated the Rashtrapati Bhavan would have “no issue in accepting Chavan’s proposal as President (Pratibha) Patil is also a Sachin fan. so is the complete nation.”

Shiv Sena is also keen about the Bharat Ratna award for Sachin – the best Indian cricketer of all time.
